Sismondi and the Idea of Development as cultural Problem. According to Sismondi thinking in economics means above all propose an Inquiry on two different concepts: to encourage the contact between manufacturing and distribution and find equilibrium between progress and development. Both of them represent cultural outline on economics according to Italian Reformers’ thought (particularly by Pietro Verri and Gaetano Filangieri) and Adam Smith cultural reflection in Wealth of Nations (particularly in Vth section: “Of the Expense of Institutions for the Education of Youth”).
