Regulation and policies can strongly influence the opportunities for biological control agents to be used as plant protection products. There are a number of driving factors that can favor their use in alternation with or in addition to synthetic agrochemicals in IPM program. They are desirable a number of actions at different levels to facilitate their authorization maintaining a high degree of safety to human health and the environment.
