La questione dell’euro è oggi al centro del dibattito politico ed economico sia in Italia sia in Europa. La crisi globale riapre una discussione che avrebbe dovuto messere affrontata in passato ma non lo fu. L’euro è considerato la causa dei problemi economici dell’Italia e alcuni ne propongono l’uscita. In questo lavoro esamineremo la storia della moneta comune europea dagli inizi sino all’euro. Verrà affrontato il rapporto non risolto fra politica economica e monetaria e altre politiche comuni, verranno considerati i problemi posti al sistema economico, politico e sociale italiano. Seguiremo l’esperienza dell’agricoltura nel corso dei tentativi che hanno preceduto l’euro e poi l’integrazione della Politica agraria nella nuova situazione. Valuteremo l’impatto della crisi e il rapporto fra caratteristiche della moneta unica e crisi stessa, per sviluppare alcune considerazioni economiche generale su euro ed Europa con una specifica attenzione al settore agricolo che per primo ha affrontato i problemi posti dall’impiego di una moneta comune.
Euro and connected problems in Italy. Present and future problems connected with the euro are now at the center of the political and economic debate both in the EU and Italy. The global economic crisis forces to discuss a situation that should have been discussed before. In Italy euro is often seen as the beginning of economic problems and there are proposals about an exit of the country from the single currency. In this paper story of single currency unit is viewed together with the never solved bias between economic and monetary policy of the EU and other common policies. The situation of the challenges posed from euro to Italian economic, political and social systems will be considered. The experience of agriculture and the integration of the CAP in the monetary union and the euro unit will be examinated in order to obtain a general view of the impact of euro on economy and agricultural economy.
